One century ago, the national political arena reopened its doors that had firmly shut to women. Since then, Chinese female stateswomen have begun to gradually shine forth in all their glory until the sky of today's political arena now glitters with feminine stars.

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 gender discriminations have been systematically removed. Chinese women, as a whole, are coming into their own and accessing their rights. After more than 50 years of practice Chinese females now adorn all aspects of the nation's political stage.
