HK's PPI growth in Q3 falls to 5.5%

Hong Kong's producer price index (PPI) grew 5.5 percent year on year in the third quarter, compared with a 6.7 percent growth recorded in the previous quarter, the HKSAR government said Friday.

The Census and Statistics Department said index of industrial production for the manufacturing sector as a whole decreased by 6. 7 percent in the third quarter, following a 4.1 percent decrease in the second quarter.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the index of industrial production for the manufacturing sector as a whole decreased by 3. 1 percent in the third quarter.
