"The Party and the World Dialogue 2014" will be held in Beijing from Sept. 3 to Sept. 5. The dialogue will showcase modern international perspectives on the Communist Party of China, the ruling party in China, centered around the theme "China's New Reforms: the Role of the Party."

China has been at the focus of the world's attention for its miraculous 30 years of economic growth and development since the country adopted the reform and opening up policy, and especially after the country began its comprehensive reform plan in 2014 after the Third Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC.

The event will bring the CPC to the forefront of the world's understanding of China's development and will offer a glimpse of how the country will reposition itself in the world within the context of complex global changes.

At the international conference of the "Chinese Communist Party in the Eyes of European Scholars" held in Denmark, in June, Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said that China welcomed more foreign scholars to cooperate with the CPC to conduct comprehensive, objective and in-depth study of the party's historical, cultural, and practical perspectives so as to better understand the secret to modern China's progress.

This three-day Dialogue, sponsored by the China Center for Contemporary World Studies (CCCWS) and the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD), will bring together 60 scholars, experts and prominent political figures from over 30 countries.
