Smartphone games boom

Not long after Flappy Bird and 2048 claimed the attention of smartphone users nationwide, Trapping Maniac Cat, a phone game based on the WeChat platform China. Since its debut at 2 p.m on July 22, the game managed to attract 2.41 million IP addresses with an unbelieveable 10.26 million page views.

Although such games are short-lived, they still successfully influenced their WeChat friends. The nature of WeChat platform limit the complexity of such phone games, but various unusual way of playing them nonetheless made them boom.
