Title: Connecting the Peoples Through Media Cooperation

Abstract

The core principle of the Belt and Road Initative is wide consultation, joint construction and shared benefits. Wide consultation and joint construction are built on policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, smooth financing and connection with people. Among them, connection with people serves as the social foundation of the construction of the Belt and Road. When it comes to the promotion of connection with people, the media is charged with five tasks. The first one is to strengthen information sharing, to increase coverage and to enhance comprehensiveness, credibility and accuracy of reports. The second one is to intensify communication and cooperation on the development of media convergency, which can help avoid making mistakes and expediate the development process. The third one is to enhance mutual understanding among media organizations and to learn from globally outstanding media organizations. The fourth one is to conduct joint interviews to deliver more targeted coverage. The fifth one is to build a platform for routine collaboration and to enhance efficiency of media cooperation.
