Title: Implementing the Belt and Road Initiative by Encouraging and Supporting Enterprises to Go Global

Abstract:

With the strategic goal of "Serving Society, Delivering Excellence", Bank of China (BOC) focuses on the national strategy and endeavors to implement the Belt and Road Initiative by providing financial support for domestic enterprises going global in an all- round way. It has carried out relevant practices and accumulated some experience.

In recent years, based on a global service network and the diversified financial industry platform and adapting to changes of the financial situation at home and abroad as well as customer demands, BOC has been providing strong support for Chinese enterprises to go global by continuously offering innovative products and services and improving its global financing ability. By the end of June 2016, BOC had supported 2,334 projects with a volume of up to $164.4 billion in financing to help Chinese enterprises go global.

1. The BOC's business layout featuring internalization provides inherent advantages to serve domestic enterprises going global.

2. The BOC's rapid response and top-level design provides detailed strategies to serve domestic enterprises going global.

3. The BOC has been taking action on the way to serving domestic enterprises going global.

4. The BOC's Shaanxi branch has gained some experience and achievements in serving Shaanxi enterprises to go global.

5. Analysis of BOC Shaanxi branch's development opportunities and strategies given the background of China's promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative.
