Abstract:

1. Short flashback into the past: 18th century China and India dominating the world economy

2. China in last decades: up to becoming the 2nd strongest world economy with prospects to be the world leader

3. Economic association with the Silk Road and Sea Silk Road of the 21st century

(1) Chinese contribution to the world economy

(2) Supporting the development of countries and regions lagging behind (Asia and west-north China) and support of the world economy dynamics on the whole

(3) Exchange of information and help

(4) Assumed Chinese investment of multi-billion dollars in relation to both Roads

(5) Active economic areas surrounding the Roads will enhance business, investment, GDP, which will result in the growth of life standard of inhabitants involved

(6) Consolidation of the Asian growth and closer tights with Europe

(7) Development of the middle class living around both Roads (till 2050, over 3 billion people living in the economic area around both Roads will belong to the middle class)

4. Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) – investment tool

5. Strategic partnership of China and the EU

(1) 16 + 1 Initiative

(2) Chinese investment in Central and Eastern Europe

6. Security challenge related to the active Roads and surrounding economic areas

(1) Cooperation of China and the EU in security areas

(2) Supporting of Asian economies that lag behind as a tool to diminish tension between countries

Conclusion:

1. Road and surrounding economic area: projects enhancing economic cooperation, supporting economic development dynamics

2. Sustainable economic development
