The Beijing Municipal Education Commission issued a notice requiring kindergarten operators to further strengthen the oversight of kindergartens and obey relevant laws on Nov.27, following allegations of abuse at a kindergarten in the city's Chaoyang District. 

All districts are asked to exercise strict management over pre-school education faculties. The review process of pre-school educators' qualifications will be strengthened in accordance with the law, according to the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. 

In addition, each district will provide training on education science and child psychology to newly recruited faculties in a bid to raise teachers' standard of professionalism and ethics, according to the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.

The city will also strengthen training for all the faculties in various kinds of kindergartens, as well as enhance kindergartens' law-based operation, according to the notice. 

The education commission is also requiring kindergarten headmasters to provide necessary psychological counseling to teachers to ensure the smooth operation of schools.

Meanwhile, large-scale safety inspection on the city's kindergartens is underway, with special attention to their facilities, safety, faculty and management, according to the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.

Recently, the Society of Early Childhood Education in Beijing issued a statement calling for pre-school educators to protect and respect children and strengthen their self-discipline.
