According to an environmental assessment report issued by the China Railway Design Corporation (CRDC), the planned Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway will pass through five stations along its route, including the Huangcun Station, the New Airport Station, the Gu'an East Station, the Bazhou North Station and the Xiongan Station.

The new railway with a total length of 92.78 kilometers will link Beijing with Xiongan New Area, the newly established national-level district in Hebei Province.

The railway is modified from the previous Beijing-Bazhou intercity railway. It will start from the Beijing West Railway Station and terminate at the Xiongan Station. The elevated Xiongan Station will cover an area of more than 68.37 hectares, much larger than the Beijing South Railway Station (49.92 hectares) that is currently the largest railway station in Asia.

CRDC's report also revealed that more railroads, including high-speed rails, will be built connecting Xiongan to other parts of the country, including the Beijing-Hong Kong-Taiwan high-speed railway, and the Shijiazhuang-Xiongan intercity railway.
