A second prototype of China's home-built C919 passenger jet has completed its first test flight, another step forward in the country's ambitions to enter the global jet market.
The C919 plane landed at Pudong International Airport at noon in Shanghai in a flight of two hours.
A total of six prototypes will eventually conduct test flights, with engine tests to be a particular focus.
The first C919 completed its trial flight in May this year, and made its first intercity flight, from Shanghai to Xi'an, in mid-November.
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China says the plane has dozens of customers who have placed orders and commitments for 785 jets.
