Chinese cultural and creative products will be promoted in an upcoming overseas cultural event series, according to a press conference held at the Palace Museum in Beijing Tuesday.

The event series, named "China Week: Inheritance and Innovation," will be held by China's cultural centers around the world from May 10 to June 30, focusing on promoting products related to cultural relics and museums, intangible cultural heritages, animations, digital technologies, and so on.

The cultural centers will organize related activities through independent planning and cooperation, including exhibitions, forums, seminars and lectures, as well as interactive activities.

Among the highlights are several major programs, such as the Exhibition of Creative Products Inherited from the Palace Museum, an exhibition of Chinese postal stamps and stamp-themed cultural products, Silk Road Memory - NICE Choice Cultural Creative Exhibition and Chinese Design · Culture · Life Experimental Exhibition.

China has established 35 cultural centers worldwide. The number is expected to reach 50 by 2020. The centers have held Chinese culture promotion events annually since 2016.

According to the press conference, this year's series of cultural events will aim to provide a platform for the overseas development of Chinese cultural enterprises, and showcase Chinese cultural creative products.

In recent years, China has attached great importance to the development ofcultural and creative products, giving fresh impetus to driving market vitality and social creativity. By implementing new technologies, China is promoting traditional cultural resources overseas in innovative ways, sparking more foreign cooperation in cultural industries.
