Beijing Daxing International Airport is expected to be powered by the end of next January, as work on the main structure of the Yongxinghe North Road Integrated Pipeline Project, the electric power support, and the fuel gas paving layer have been completed.

The Yongxinghe North Road Integrated Pipeline, which will serve as the main channel for the external engineering support of Beijing's new airport, is part of the main road of Beijing, with the designed driving speed of 60 kilometers per hour and the road width of 60 meters.

"According to the construction schedule, the jacking-in node beneath the Beijing-Kowloon railway was completed on Sept. 18 and the main structure of the pipeline project would be completed at the beginning of this month. The work on the 15 centimeter pavement on the ground is currently underway, which is mainly for maintenance inspection and pathway," said Zou Chunqi, project manager of China Railway 24th Bureau Group. "The current power supports and the gas paving layer have been completed as scheduled."

The major part of the construction work of the project is the power and fuel gas pipelines, said Hao Chaodong, vice manager of the project.

He said, "Currently, the power supply and gas supply pipelines in each section of the project have been completed. Among them, the electric power supports and the gas pipeline are all laid, ready for power generation commissioning. The power supply for Beijing Daxing International Airport can be actualized by the end of January next year."
