Notorious serial killer Gao Chengyong was executed Thursday morning according to the official Weibo account of the people's intermediate court of Baiyin City, Gansu Province.

Dubbed the Chinese "Jack the Ripper," Gao killed 10 women and one girl between 1988 and 2002.

Many of his victims were wearing red when their mutilated bodies were found.

Gao raped the victims before killing them and dismembering their bodies.

He was arrested in August 2016 and was sentence to death last March for robbery, rape, murder, and corpse abuse.
