A plastic anatomy model is being used to give directions to patients at a hospital in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province. The medical mannequin at the entrance to the hospital's prosthetics and orthotics center is used to hold up a sign that says "The road leads to no other department."

According to the Chengdu Economic Daily, a photo of the anatomy model went viral. Some netizens said that it was a creative way for the hospital to use apparently idle equipment. But other shared their concerns that it might frighten kids.

Zhou Yong, a doctor at the rehabilitation medicine department that owns the mannequin, said he set up the sign six months ago so that lost patients would stop interrupting him to ask for directions. According to the doctor, an ordinary sign had been installed two years ago, but was widely ignored.

"It's much better now. The model is quite obvious, so fewer people come for us to ask for directions," he said. "I didn't intended to use the plastic model, but it happened to be appropriate."
