Recently, 41 service and support companies for the 2019 Beijing Horticultural Expo held a job fair in Yanqing district. It attracted over 1,000 job seekers, and the companies reached initial agreements with half of them at the fair.

The job fair at Yanqing Stadium was aimed at bringing new workforce to the hospitality and other service providers to the upcoming expo, which included several new hotels. With conspicuous posters and nicely decorated booths near the stadium entrance, the hotels offered various positions including food and beverage services, housekeeping, marketing and sales, security, and hotel technicians.

Wang Xiaolong, an official of the Yanqing District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, said the job fair not only pooled talents for companies servicing the expo, but it also provided job opportunities for local residents. Of the more than 1,000 job seekers, 535 reached initial agreements with the companies at the fair.
