The third International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Road opened in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province on Sunday.

The forum, scheduled to be held from Sunday to April 6 in Changsha and Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, will focus on the theme of youth creativity and innovation in the age of media arts.

It aims to promote the exchange and cooperation among the media arts cities and young creative talents from countries along the Belt and Road.

The forum is a joint initiative between UNESCO and the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO. A total of 124 youth delegates from 85 countries along the Belt and Road are attending the forum.

The forum will build a platform to help youth delegates strengthen cultural exchanges, inherit the spirit of the Silk Road, tell stories about the Silk Road, promote cooperation and make efforts to promote traditional friendship among countries along the Belt and Road.

The forum was first held in Changsha and the city of Quanzhou in east China's Fujian Province in April 2017. The second forum was held in Changsha and Nanjing in May 2018.
