Honor plaques issued to 20 mln families of military personnel

Honor plaques had been issued to more than 20 million families with active military personnel or veterans as of early April, according to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
To further promote the work, the ministry required local authorities to deliver the plaques to those qualified families and leave them the decision whether to install them or not.
It also asked for digital archives of the issuance of the plaques and the information of the families.
More efforts should be done to create a strong atmosphere of respect for veterans and those in active service throughout society, said the ministry.
