The Second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Forum was held in Shenzhen on April 20. The purpose of the forum was to promote exchanges of talent, capital, information and technology within the Greater Bay Area, and to facilitate start-ups by young people in the city cluster.

About 30 associations and 300 people from across the Greater Bay Area attended the forum, which was organized by the Shenzhen Luohu Overseas Chinese Returnees Association and supported by the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Luohu committee. The event explored approaches to integrating development and improving the business environment within the Greater Bay Area, so as to provide young people more opportunities.

Tang Jie, former vice mayor of Shenzhen and professor at the School of Economics and Management of the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), together with Cao Zhiwen, director of the coordinated development department of the Greater Bay Area Office of the CPC Shenzhen committee, and Xiao Jing, chief scientist of Ping An Technology, shared their thoughts on the role of scientific and technological innovation in driving development. They encouraged young people to seize the grand opportunities brought by the national strategy of building up the Greater Bay Area.

A cooperation agreement between the Shenzhen Luohu Overseas Chinese Returnees Association and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Association was also signed at the forum.
