Twenty-five young researchers and officials from 18 African countries started a science and technology tour in China Monday in Beijing, seeking innovation inspiration from the exchange.

The China InnoTour for African Young Scientists is co-sponsored by China's Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The young researchers and officials will visit Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Yichang High-tech Development Zone and other research institutes and cultural sites in Beijing and Hubei Province in the next nine days.

"It's an honor and pleasure to be provided the opportunity to visit our partner country," said Soha Mostafa, the EU project's assistant of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt. "Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much," she said.

The activity is aimed to further implement the achievements made at 2018 China Africa Cooperation Forum Beijing Summit, and promote the cooperation between China and African countries on science and technology innovation.
