Beijing's Asian Cuisine Festival concludes

The Asian Cuisine Festival held in Beijing drew to a close on Wednesday, as the event's main venue attracted nearly 80,000 visitors and recorded 2.23 million yuan (US$322,250) in revenue.

Six other participating venues, such as Hopson One in Chaoyang district, were visited 2 million times, representing a rise of 8.9% year-on-year. A total of 282 catering businesses in these venues recorded sales of 38.31 million yuan, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year.

According to restaurant directory and review platforms Meituan and Alibaba Koubei, food and beverage businesses in the six venues and surrounding areas that participated in the online shopping activities were visited 922,000 times and received 427,000 online orders, with sales totaling 7.49 million yuan, representing an increase of 16.4% year-on-year. 

During the cuisine festival, a new shopping center in Shunyi district put on a weekend market and a pop-up art show, drawing 224,000 visitors and raked in 16.85 million yuan. 

The Asian Cuisine Festival was held to convey the message of integrated development, allowing the people of various countries to experience the integration, coexistence, and common development of Asian cuisines.
