A meeting was held in Beijing Thursday to publicize the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, which was convened from Oct. 28 to 31.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a report at the meeting.

Huang explained the achievements made in the cause of the CPC and the country since the third plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the significance of the fourth plenary session, and the obvious advantages of the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and China's system for governance.

He said the achievements and plans of the fourth plenary session are bound to push China's systems to become more mature and continuously turn advantages of the country's systems into governance efficiency.

Around 3,300 people, including cadres from departments of the CPC, the government and the military, leaders from centrally administered state-owned enterprises and universities, theorists, and representatives of the general public, attended the meeting.
