The Beijing Gardening and Greening Bureau published a guidebook of cultural events to be held for the 2020 Spring Festival, which will include temple fairs, traditional cultural exhibitions, sightseeing places, and winter sports. The guidebook is headlined by 87 cultural events scheduled at 32 parks across Beijing.

Temple fairs remain a must-go for many Beijing residents. This year, the fairs will be put on at Ditan Park and Longtan Park in Dongcheng district, Daguanyuan (Grand View Garden) in Xicheng district, Shijingshan Amusement Park and Badachu Park in Shijingshan district, Canal Park in Tongzhou district, and Cultural Park in Pinggu district. Visitors will be treated to art performances, exhibitions, intangible cultural heritages, delicious local delicacies, and other festivities.

A variety of traditional folk arts and cultural exhibitions will also be available. The Temple of Heaven will host a concert regarding sacrificial rituals back in the Qing Dynasty, and Beihai Park will give out New Year wishes and lantern riddles.

The Summer Palace is currently holding a happiness-and-longevity-themed cultural relics show, presenting 99 exclusively picked cultural relics until Jan. 31. Beijing Botanical Garden will also showcase natural landscapes around the Fragrant Hills, cultural remains, and the Cao Xueqin Memorial Hall.
