Construction work in Huairou Science City has resumed on 19 projects as well as four out of its five major scientific facility projects, officials from its management committee said.

According to Liu Jinsong from the High Energy Photon Source project, the project became the first major science project here that resumed work after receiving approval from the Huairou government on Feb. 13. Now, there are nearly 300 employees on site, and the construction work is on track.

Liu said the project management team had held five videoconferences to arrange its epidemic prevention efforts and get prepared for work resumption. They screened staff returning to work based on their recent travel history, and strictly controlled risks in transportation and upon entry.

Moreover, the project has separated living areas with construction areas, implemented strict access control, and provided independent living space for its employees.

The Huairou government plans to have companies in the district resume work in two batches, and those with the ability to offer independent living space for employees would resume work first.
