Medical workers across the nation will have the opportunity of taking free rides on Beijing's sightseeing buses, said Beijing Hub of Tour Dispatch, a Beijing sightseeing service company, on Friday.

The company made the offer to express appreciation to medical professionals on the frontlines of the fight against the novel coronavirus.

The free tours will be offered from the day the company's sightseeing routes resume operation through the end of this year.

The routes on offer include the City Tour Route, the Vintage Tram Route No. 1 and No. 2, and the Double-Deck Sightseeing Bus Tour Route No. 3.

The company's "one-day tour in Beijing's suburbs" tourism package will also offer free lifts to the medical workers. They will be asked to provide ID and medical certification at the departure point to receive the free service.
