Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has realized full coverage of optical fiber network, delivering radio and television services to all villages in the county, local authorities said Saturday.

The county under the administration of Kashgar Prefecture, with an average altitude of more than 4,000 meters above sea level, is the highest-altitude county in Xinjiang.

The project helped more than 5,200 households in the county's mountainous areas enjoy the radio and television services.

The full coverage of optical fiber network can not only improve the life quality of residents but also contribute to poverty alleviation, said Huang Lidong, director of the industry and information bureau of Kashgar Prefecture.
