Chinese mainland reports 7 new imported COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported seven new imported COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 1,971, the National Health Commission said Sunday.

Of the seven cases, the municipalities of Tianjin and Shanghai saw four and two cases respectively, with one reported in Zhejiang Province.

Among all the imported cases, 1,893 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 78 remained hospitalized, with no one in severe condition, the commission said.

No deaths had been reported from the imported cases.
