A family reading campaign that began in Beijing as the new education term starts is aimed at spreading anti-drug awareness among students and prevent drug abuse on campus.
The China Narcotics Control Foundation gave a batch of donated storybooks and teaching aids on narcotics control to five poverty-stricken areas at the campaign launching ceremony. These areas include Lianhua County in Jiangxi Province, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei Province, and Bijie City in Guizhou Province.
Over a few months for the preparations, the reading campaign has received positive response from more than 80 county-level regions across the country, encouraging parents to pay attention to and participate in drugs control.
A series of online and offline activities such as live video streaming and sharing experience on drugs control will be organized in the coming days.
