The final designs for the landscape along the Grand Canal in Beijing have been submitted for expert review and unveiled in order to solicit public opinions and suggestions, according to an announcement on Sunday from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources.
The commission followed up by opening a WeChat message board with its official account on Monday for people to post feedback.
The invitation for design submissions that began in June was responded by dozens of design teams, and three had stood out and finalized their designs by Oct. 10.
Their designs mainly cover the landscapes along the Grand Canal and in key neighborhood areas, as well as the designs of bridges.
The public feedback period will last through the end of October.
