Beijing's Chaoyang district will establish 30 cultural tourism consumer spending blocks and 30 cultural creative parks in the next five years, said Li Qiang, deputy head of the district's culture and tourism authority.

Through assessment of existing facilities, Chaoyang has identified 10 cultural tourism consumer spending blocks, 10 cultural tourism routes, and 10 cultural creative parks over the past year. Starting from this year, it plans to renew its cultural tourism routes annually, and help those blocks set up more bookstores, art galleries, and museums.

The district also plans to develop tourism by coordinating with sports venues, industrial heritage sites, cultural creative parks, and universities and colleges. For example, it will develop complexes, routes, and demonstration bases for sports-themed tourism.

In addition, it will also develop tourism by taking advantage of business activities and exhibitions, and seek more night trip possibilities around the canal system, business areas, and scenic avenues. A batch of demonstration projects of cultural tourism integration IP will also be cultivated.
