Neither Beijing Capital International Airport nor Beijing Daxing International Airport is medium- or high-risk for COVID-19, and consequently, the travel code and health code of passengers flying from there would not turn red, said Zhao Ying, deputy general manager of Beijing Capital International Airport Co., Ltd., at a press conference in Beijing on Thursday.

In March last year, Beijing Capital International Airport designated Zone D of Terminal 3 as a special zone for inbound flights from other countries and regions. The airport now conducts thorough disinfection in the zone each time after handling a flight, and carries out regular nuclear acid tests in the zone, on the shuttle buses, and for the staff who have entered the zone. All the results have been negative, Zhao said.

For international and cold chain packages, the airport would disinfect them four times. It has also designated permanent staff to cold chain posts, and fixed spots for storing well-labeled cold chain products.
