Universal Studios Beijing is scheduled to open in May this year, according to local authorities. A trial version of the theme park's app is now available on the App Store, detailing various themed rides and shows that will greet visitors once the park opens.

The trial version of the app also aims to collect user feedback in order to continuously improve and optimize its functions. The homepage includes a list of themed attractions that will be unveiled at the Beijing Universal Resort and its entertainment and performance projects. In addition to the introduction of its themes, facilities, and shows, it also details features of the stores and restaurants that will be found in each scenic area. Finally, the app provides hand-drawn map navigation, user registration, and login functions.

Once the theme park opens, tourists will be able to navigate to the main entrance of the theme park, dubbed Universal CityWalk Beijing, by taking the Beijing Subway Batong Line or Beijing Subway Line 7. Universal CityWalk Beijing will include a multifunctional cinema, 15 Chinese and Western restaurants, and eight world-renowned retail shops.

The theme park, located in Beijing's eastern suburban district of Tongzhou, will feature seven themed lands, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Minion Land, and Hollywood.

The WeChat mini-app and Alipay app for the theme park also launched simultaneously. Universal Beijing Resort will add more functions such as online ticket purchases, hotel reservations, VIP guide reservations, and real-time queries for estimated waiting times for shows and rides to its app in the future.

Currently, phase I construction of the core project is complete and the facility is preparing to open. This first phase of construction consisted of the Universal Studios theme park, the Universal Studios Grand Hotel, NUO Resort Hotel, parking building and parking lots, the Universal CityWalk, accommodation and living area for staff, and the installation of landscapes and water systems.

After opening, the theme park is expected to receive more than 10 million tourists per year.
