The construction of a new forest park in Beijing's Daxing district has entered its final phase ahead of its opening in early May, according to the district's gardening and greening bureau. 

Various forest-themed zones will be set up in the park, including a concert hall and an exhibition hall, in order to provide residents and tourists with recreational areas as well as information on the National Forest City program. A forest ecosystem comprising multiple species will also be shown at the park.

Located on the southern part of Beijing's central axis, the forest park is expected to encourage more people to join in the campaign to build national forest cities and construct an ecological civilization.
