Annual college entrance exam starts in Luohu

Starting from June 7, a total of 4,237 candidates sat the annual national college entrance exam, or gaokao, in Luohu.
The six exam sites in the district are Shenzhen Middle School, Shenzhen No.2 Experimental School, Cuiyuan Middle School, Luohu Foreign Language School, Luohu Senior High School and Shenzhen Fine Arts School. Shenzhen Fine Arts School is a standby exam site.
Many parents were seen wearing red clothes anxiously waiting for their children outside the exam sites, as red is regarded an auspicious color.
To maintain traffic and public order nearby, the Luohu public security department and traffic police set up service posts, and there were also some volunteers offering help to the exam-takers.
Warning boards set up near the exam sites reminded the drivers not to sound the horn during the exam time.
On the first day of the exam, the district's market regulation administration sent six inspection teams to the canteens of the six schools to ensure food safety for exam-takers and teachers administering the exam.
