The opening ceremony of an international talent service workstation in Luohu was held at Luohu international talent service center Oct. 28. The workstation of Luohu's Guiyuan sub-district issues work permits to foreigners employed in the district.

The opening ceremony was attended by Zhong Hai, deputy director of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, as well as Lai Jianhua, director of the office of the Luohu District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and among others.

Luke, a Polish native, received one of the first work permits issued by the new workstation. "It's really convenient to get a work permit here," said Luke. "The service is good and the work is efficient."

The workstation, co-founded by the Shenzhen Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs, Luohu Bureau of Foreign Affairs, Luohu Bureau of Talents and the Guiyuan sub-district office, serves as a "one-stop" service platform to issue work permits and provide consultation service.

Both the employers and the foreign workers should first submit their applications through an administrative service system. After their applications are approved, the employees can go to the workstation where they'll get their original copies of application materials verified and receive the work permit.

In addition, the workstation also provides international and comprehensive services related to innovation and entrepreneurship, talent recruitment, residence, community integration and cultural exchanges.

Guiyuan is located in the center of the Shenzhen city, where a host of multinationals and foreigners talents converge. It boasts branches of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Standard Chartered, etc. It's also home to branches of world-reknowed auditing firms like Ernst & Young, Deloitte, pricewaterhousecoopers and KPMG. The establishment of the workstation in Guiyuan can provide efficient services for surrounding foreigners by saving their time.

The founding of the workstation represents the latest effort made by Luohu to build itself into an international community. Next, it will continue to optimize its business environment, improve international talent service system and support facilities, so as to inject impetus to the district's innovation and entrepreneurship development.
