The Network of Intelligent & Collaborative Education platform aims to help enhance scientific parenting, offer professional guidance for childcare workers, and promote academic research on preschool education. It will do this by integrating resources with the help of information technology, said Kang Liying, dean of CNU's College of Preschool Education.

Kang emphasized the importance of preschool education, saying that children's development is essential to the happiness of families, the improvement of the workforce, and the country's future.

Kang added that nurturing infants and young children requires the concerted efforts of multiple parties, including kindergartens, nurseries, families, and society.

The platform is part of China's plan to improve cooperative mechanisms between schools, families, and communities.

The policy was highlighted in many documents, such as the country's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, and a new law on family education promotion adopted in October.

Apart from the platform, the university has already established a research center to promote kindergarten-family-community cooperative education.

Yang Zhicheng, vice president of CNU, said the university would build on its sound academic foundation in preschool education and provide more robust support for researchers, teachers, and parents through the platform and the research center.

"Looking forward, we will also further explore building a theoretical and practice system of family education with Chinese characteristics," Yang said, "and we hope the forum will facilitate the exchange of ideas in this regard."
