Luohu a key source of growth for Shenzhen

Luohu holds an essential position in the Shenzhen Government Work Report delivered at the annual session of the Shenzhen People's Congress, the city's legislature, on April 11.

According to the Shenzhen Government Work Report, Luohu's port economic belt, financial industry, strategic emerging industries, and urban renovation project are all regarded as key growth drivers for the district.

Some Shenzhen lawmakers urged Luohu to accelerate the modernization of Luohu's port zones to serve as a pioneer in promoting Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated development.

They also suggested Luohu should expedite the upgrading of its Dongmen pedestrian street.
