I. Objectives

"Ecological civilization represents the development trend of human civilization," noted General Secretary Xi Jinping. He has issued a series of strategic deployments about ecological civilization construction since the 18th CPC National Congress. Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization not only guides the building of a "Beautiful China" but also offers China’s plan for global ecological preservation and environmental governance. Last year, the first Erhai Forum on Global Ecological Civilization Construction was held in Dali, Yunnan Province. As a supporting event of COP15, the Forum has demonstrated to the rest of the world what China has achieved in protecting biodiversity and how China has deeply engaged in global ecological governance. Thus, the Forum has received an enthusiastic response from attendees from China and other countries and yielded fruitful results.

China Center for International Communication Development (CCICD) will organize the "You Make the World a Beautiful Place" Global Call for Visual Stories (hereinafter referred to as "Activity"). This Activity aims to fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, share with the world Chinese stories of ecological protection and green development in a more truthful, enriched, and comprehensive way, and deliver to a global audience the values and pursuit of building a shared future for all life on earth. The Activity collects images, micro-videos, micro-documentaries, Vlogs, stand-up comedies, artworks and installations, and other works on a global scale. CCICD will display outstanding works during the Erhai Forum and publicize and disseminate them worldwide via the Internet.
