The Luohu district government was ranked 9th among 120 sampled county-level governments in China in terms of government transparency, according to the 2021 report on Chinese government transparency released at a seminar held in Beijing on June 16. It ranked 10th in last year's report.

Among the five major evaluation criteria, Luohu scored 79.9 for disclosure of government decision-making, 76.36 for disclosure of administrative services, 79.7 for disclosure of execution and results, 76 for information disclosure on application, and 100 for construction of governance disclosure platforms.

In the evaluation, the Shenzhen municipal government ranked 1st among the sampled city governments, thanks to its high rating for information disclosure on decision-making and the construction and efficient operation of its governance disclosure platforms. It was ranked 2nd in the evaluation last year.

The Chinese government transparency report was issued by the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Social Sciences Academic Press (China). It was the result of the 13th annual third-party evaluation they have carried out on governance transparency nationwide in a row, which sampled 48 departments of the State Council, China’s cabinet, 31 provincial-level governments, 49 major city governments, and 120 county-level governments.

The 2022 Annual Report on Rule of Law in China was also published during the seminar.
