2022 public reading event held in Beijing

An artists' recitation session of the 2022 Beijing Reading Contest was held at the Capital Library of China in Beijing yesterday.
Themed "Endless passion for reading," the session was jointly held by the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.
During the event, renowned hosts and artists joined hands with fans to read classic works, online literature, and film and TV works. The recitation session was watched by 3 million people across 12 platforms.
As one of the signature contents of the "Reading Beijing" brand, the Beijing Reading Contest has been successfully held six times. This year, the competition took place online and offline. Beijing citizens were invited to participate in the contest in public libraries or through the WeChat mini program "Reading Beijing."
The contest was held from June to August and attracted the attention of many readers. The online competition received more than 50,000 visits and more than 400,000 votes.
