With China's National Day and Chongyang Festival holidays approaching, Beijing's municipal parks, the China National Botanical Park (CNBG), and the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture will hold 36 cultural activities to celebrate the upcoming festivals.

As a famous revolutionary site, Xiangshan Park will roll out a tour route to the Xiangshan Revolutionary Memorial Site, inviting tourists to participate in flag-raising ceremony and share revolutionary stories.

The municipal parks will also provide a series of online activities to celebrate the National Day such as livestreaming of revolutionary storytelling and virtual flower exhibitions, allowing citizens to feel the strong festive atmosphere online.

As part of its efforts to celebrate the upcoming Chongyang Festival, which will fall on Oct. 4, parks across the city will launch various kinds of themed activities for tourists.

Xiangshan Park plans to stage cultural performances, present handmade Chongyang cakes, and send flowers to elderly visitors on that day.

Since the Chongyang Festival has a long tradition of viewing chrysanthemums, CNBG will launch the First Chrysanthemum Exhibition, presenting 100,000 chrysanthemums of more than 300 varieties on both sides of the main tour route of the park with a total area of 8,000 square meters.

Additionally, a set of themed exhibitions will provide more options for citizens looking for cultural outings during the holidays, such as the exhibition of cultural relics from the Shenyang Palace Museum, the itinerant exhibition of outstanding wildlife photographs held at the Beijing Zoo, and the online tour of Beijing Central Axis rolled out by Jingshan Park.
