Beijing launches tourism campaign

A tourism campaign promoting Beijing's key suburb tourism resources was livestreamed yesterday at the Beijing Pinggu World Leisure Congress in Pinggu district.

A total of 22 enterprise representatives from 12 of Beijing's districts participated in the livestream event. Among them, Fangshan district promoted its characteristic berries and chilled persimmons. Meanwhile, Huairou district brought a variety of delicacies made from its well-known chestnuts.

A slew of family tourist activities were also recommended during the event, including playing kayak at Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park, looking for crabs at Daoxiaoxie Art Farm, and an interactive family experience at Fun Capital in Beijing's suburban Changping district.

The campaign, "Tourism in the Community,' has been held annually for 15 years. This year's event was hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and co-organized by the Pinggu District Bureau of Culture and Tourism. bureaus of culture and tourism from 12 districts across Beijing participated in the event.
