A total of 22 enterprises have been recognized as trade headquarters enterprises in Shenzhen, according to the city's bureau of commerce.

Trade headquarters enterprises of Shenzhen refer to headquarters institutions established in the city by domestic and foreign enterprises with single or comprehensive trade functions, such as procurement, distribution, marketing, settlement, logistics, etc.

They consist of traditional trading enterprises and platform trading enterprises engaged in matching transactions or providing supporting services based on information technology, such as the internet.

Shenzhen formulated the Implementation Opinions on Supporting the Development of Trade Headquarters Enterprises (Trial) in February.

According to the document, Shenzhen will encourage financial institutions and trade headquarters enterprises to carry out strategic cooperation through unified credit granting, asset restructuring, bond issuance, the introduction of equity investment, and other means to broaden financing channels. These will include the use of credit insurance financial instruments to expand the domestic and foreign markets.

The city will also support the trade headquarters enterprises in carrying out supply chain finance business and provide full process and professional supporting services for small and medium-sized trade enterprises.

Shenzhen will support the trade headquarters enterprises by giving them priority in the participation of trials of products and systems related to interest rate liberalization, RMB internationalization, and the digital RMB, and explore trials of integrated capital pools in local and foreign currencies.
