Six locally-administrated state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Beijing have relocated their headquarters to the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center in Tongzhou district, showcasing the city's latest progress in easing its non-capital functions.
The SOEs are the Beijing Municipal Institute of City Planning and Design, Northern Investment Group, Huaxia Bank, Beijing Tourism Group, Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, and Beijing Engineering Consulting Company. All of the companies have participated in the construction of Beijing's sub-center.
Regarding land supply, the sub-center has taken an integrated approach to managing its 10 major industrial functional zones and has developed spaces featuring highly compatible industrial functions and urban planning roles.
The sub-center also continues to improve its business environment. It has adopted a list-based management system for land use, shortened the length of time for administrative approval of projects, and offered installment options to companies for land payment.
Beijing will continue implementing its sub-center construction plan and introducing major industrial projects in Tongzhou district, in a bid to further boost the high-quality development of its sub-center, said a local official.
