The Shenzhen Jewelry Museum in Luohu uses modern technology to exhibit jewelry pieces and promote the high-quality development of the jewelry industry.

The museum was founded through a public-private partnership, and it is the first jewelry museum established through this model in China. The museum comprises five exhibition zones, including the relationship between jewelry and nature, the history of ornaments, arts of jewelry designs, the development of Shenzhen's jewelry industry, and the jewelry industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The museum is committed to seeking internationalized and digitalized development, developing an extensive jewelry industry database and building three centers for launching new products, exhibitions and high-end customized jewelry, according to Wang Zhen, curator of the museum.

The museum pays special attention to combining its operation with developing the jewelry industry in Shuibei, a hub for China's jewelry industry. It is also committed to serving the overall development of the sector in Shenzhen.

"A big difference between the Shenzhen Jewelry Museum and other museums of the same kind is that it not only serves as a public cultural place but also promotes the high-quality development of Shenzhen's gold and jewelry industry," Wang said.

With 3D printing, laser processing, numerically-controlled machine tools and other advanced technologies being widely applied in the gold and jewelry industry in Shuibei, the Shenzhen Jewelry Museum will also empower itself with technologies to contribute to the high-quality development of the sector in Shenzhen.
