Luohu provides 100 million yuan in subsidies to boost consumption

To boost consumption, the Luohu district government launched a shopping festival on Dec. 8, which will last until March 1 next year.
The event's opening ceremony was held on Dongmen pedestrian street. The district's other four major commercial zones — Renmin South, Caiwuwei, Sungang and Shuibei — will participate in this activity.
The district government will invest 100 million yuan ($14 million) in subsidies for consumers during the activity, covering almost all consumption fields, including jewelry, clothing and catering. Notably, 60% of the subsidies are earmarked for car buyers, as auto trading is an effective booster of consumption.
