The Luohu district government published an open letter on April 3 calling on local residents to behave themselves as responsible citizens and uphold social morals.

The Luohu government encouraged residents to follow relevant regulations regarding household garbage classification, traffic rules, and other codes of conduct, including parking vehicles in parking areas, walking dogs with a leash, automobiles making way for pedestrians, and not casually littering in public areas.

Shenzhen has won the honorary title of national civilized city six times in a row over the past six years.   The open letter was issued to further raise the public's awareness of improving the city's civilization level.
