A range of events will be held on the sidelines of the upcoming 2023 Zhongguancun (ZGC) Forum in Beijing to allow citizens to get a closer look at cutting-edge technologies.

An outdoor science popularization activity will be held in Haidian Park on May 26 and 27, displaying a variety of virtual reality (VR) products. VR capsules will allow visitors to immerse themselves in various scenarios such as deep ocean and outer space.

Almost 20 cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements covering the fields of 3D printing and autonomous driving will be showcased at the event.

In addition, Zhongguancun No.1 Science Park will hold the Global In-Tech Carnival, creating a platform for the global unveiling of highly advanced tech products including smart robot arm kits and mecha robots.

According to the organizers, this year's ZGC Forum will host four activities for enterprises focusing on cutting-edge technologies, industrial innovation and fintech to allow them to display their latest products and services.

A digital culture fair integrating technologies and cultural performances will also be held at the same time, helping visitors gain a better understanding of digital life.

People in Zhongguancun West District will also be able to enjoy a large-scale light show every evening from 7-10 p.m. throughout the five-day event, according to the organizers.
