The Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks has released a curated selection of must-visit parks and attractions for tourists during the current summer travel season.

The list features 50 tourist destinations, with 10 attractions falling under each of the five categories: cultural and creative spaces, experience programs, themed exhibitions, internet-famous attractions, and waterside lotus-viewing spots.

The cultural and creative spaces on the list are located at some of Beijing's most iconic sites, including the Temple of Heaven, Jingshan Park, and the National Botanical Garden of China. These spaces offer a diverse range of teas, coffees, iced beverages and snacks, providing tourists with a refreshing respite from the scorching summer heat.

A variety of cultural experience activities have also been launched, including night tours, science popularization programs, red tourism activities, and flower appreciation events. For instance, tourists can enjoy musical performances on the Chinese zither or guzheng in Beihai Park, participate in youth science programs in the Summer Palace, or explore China’s revolutionary history in the early 20th century at Zhongshan Park.

Additionally, 10 internet-famous attractions in the Temple of Heaven, the National Botanical Garden, the Zizhuyuan Park, and the China Garden Museum offer tourists the chance to indulge in Beijing's local cuisine, appreciate high-quality eco-environments, and experience traditional calligraphic art up close.

Tourists can also delight in blooming lotus flowers at Zizhuyuan Park, the Summer Palace, Taoranting Park, and Yuyuantan Park.
