A theater extravaganza will kick off at the 751 Park in Beijing's Chaoyang district on Friday, presenting more than 60 shows including stage plays, dance numbers, comedy sketches, musical performances, and readings.
The carnival will comprise four segments, including specially curated dramas and art installations. Award-winning theater works to be on stage include “God of Carnage” and “The Beauty Queen of Leenane.”
The carnival will also feature 10 dramas from 10 university theater clubs, in a bid to cultivate a new generation of performers.
In addition, the carnival will bring music performances and talks to audiences.
The event will last 10 days.
