Beijing's Shijingshan launches cultural and tourism campaign

Beijing's Shijingshan district will issue hotel vouchers and organize nearly 100 activities through Sept. 10 to promote its various tourist destinations and boost tourism spending.

Fahai Temple in the Moshikou Historical and Cultural block will debut a night tour activity to showcase the best murals from the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). With the support of digital technologies, visitors can enjoy night tours and learn about the history of murals at the Mural Art Museum of Fahai Temple.

Stone Carving Relics Park in Shijingshan district will extend its opening hours for visitors to view stone carvings and cultural relics at night. The Shijingshan District Museum will provide tour guide services from 7 to 8 p.m. that introduce traditional poetry, music, and dance. The night tour activities organized by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Center of Shijingshan district will showcase 35 intangible cultural heritage items.

Free travel buses in Shijingshan district will be available from Sept. 2 to 6, linking major scenic spots, landmarks, shopping malls, and museums in the district.

The theme,"Building an Asia of Mutual Learning and Win-Win Cooperation: The Role and Mission of CICA," saw the assembly of over 50 experts and diplomatic envoys from nearly 20 CICA member countries. The attendees delved into issues related to security and development in Asia.
